Sometimes life gets busy and our finances aren’t as organized as we’d like them to be. That’s why we’re here. We don’t start our process with an agenda, we start our process with you. Our goal is to understand your goals, so we can help you reach them.
There is often a misinterpretation of what a financial advisor does. We aren’t here to tell you how to run your life or exactly what to do with your money. Our job is to get your assets into a manageable and profitable place to keep you on track to reaching your goals—whether that’s saving for retirement or growing your investments.
As organized as we may be in other aspects of our lives, sometimes our finances are one of the last places we think needs tidying up. We are here to offer a new perspective on how to organize and arrange things, as well as suggest some beneficial assets that may be missing in your portfolio.
The only way you can create lasting change is with persistence. We will proactively manage your portfolio and keep in contact with you to make adjustments, should anything arise in your life that could affect your current plan.
We use a team approach because we believe two heads are better than one. If you decide to work with us, you will most likely meet and get to know both of our advisors, Ryan and Nate.
Ryan Vander Zwart
After graduating from Hope College in 1997 (Go Hope!), Ryan went straight into the financial planning field. His first job out of college was with Lorence & Vander Zwart and he liked it so much, he’s been with us for over 25 years. With a combination of his years of financial experience and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, Ryan is available to provide you with solutions and guidance on anything you or your business may need. When Ryan’s not working, he’s spending time with his wife, Amy and their four children at their home in Byron Center or fishing for Northern Pike and Walleye.
Since joining the firm as a partner in 2012, Nate has been an incredible asset to our clients. Nate was born right here in Holland, Michigan and loves being able to help his community with more than just managing their money. With a bachelor’s degree in finance from Grand Valley State University and an MBA from Michigan State University—as well as being licensed in Life and Health insurance—Nate is available to provide you with solutions and guidance with anything you or your business may need. When Nate’s not working, he’s enjoying time spent with his two beautiful daughters.
We’re a local firm with a hometown atmosphere that has the horsepower of a larger firm—something that wouldn’t be possible without the help of our wonderful team.
